GENERAL
Acorn Engineering is also well known for expertise in Boat Electrics. We will carry out certain aspects of boat wiring, and offer general help with electrical installations. A popular option is for an owner to do the basic work such as installing cable runs through the cabin, positioning batteries etc. We will then attend and wire up appliances, wire the batteries, alternator, starter etc, and other similar work..

We will work with an owner, helping to correctly specify cable types and sizes, so the owner can buy the cables and install them ahead of our attending.

We will also undertake problem solving work, and repairs etc. but if specialised equipment is found to be at fault, although we may be able to identify this as a cause, you will almost certainly need to return it to the to the supplier or specialist dealer from whom it was obtained.

We can install our Kestrel 90 alternator controller for customers.

We can install our panels.

We can supply and install Inverters and Battery chargers.

Peter Hopley is also currently CORGI registered to undertake Gas work on boats.
